NOTE: NARI IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS LIST. The list began a decade ago to serve a local chapter. National NARI wants Biz-comm to state that the list is no longer associated with NARI.

General Guidelines

As with any community, there are guidelines governing behavior on the listserver. Please acquaint yourself with these important guidelines.

To send a message to the community, address an email containing the message contents to: biz@biz-comm.com This is a MODERATED list, therefore your post will be held until reviewed. Answers to a topic will be held for a period of time to allow for more than one answer to be sent at a time. Previous guidelines restricted who may post on this list. These restrictions are removed as of 11/2010. All members are welcome to participate.

Please put CONSTRUCTION be in the subject line, along with your state. Eventually, more than one list will be offered, divided by states or regions. To begin with, this list is focused on Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC.

The following topics are welcome:

Referrals
Subcontractor/supplier referrals
Equipment to buy/sell
Remodeling business issues
Job openings
Materials, items for sale (over purchase of cabinets, vehicles, etc. NOT Services)
Business related questions
Office rental space (please do not post this item more than once a month)

Do not challenge or attack others. The messages are meant to enhance networking among members and facilitate business development, not create contention.

Use of the listserver for the sale of products or services (of your company) is prohibited UNLESS someone has asked for a particular service and you offer that service.

No attachments will be posted. Use caution when discussing products or a company's service. Information posted on the lists is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.

Do not post messages if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement which either expressly or implied leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct which is intended to illegally restrict free trade.

Defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything in a message that you would not want the world to see.

Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that it owns the copyright with respect to such material or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants Biz-comm and users of this list the non-exclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print and use such information or other material. Remember that other e-mail list participants have the right to reproduce postings to this listserver.
